Eligibility of Participants
  1. Participants must be members of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation or another Federally Recognized tribe and reside within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation boundaries.
  2. Members of other Federally Recognized Tribes must meet poverty guidelines set by US Health and Human Services (HHS).

ACCELERATE Drivers Education

Accelerate is a Youth Works initiative that provides opportunities for students, ages 16-21, to obtain a driver’s license. Accelerate offers private classroom training for groups of 13 or more, opportunities for youth to attend the Road Rulz driver’s classes held monthly in Okmulgee, and reimbursements for driver’s permit and license fees.

Emergency Vocational and Technical Scholarship (EV-TSF)

The Emergency Vocational and Technical Scholarship Fund (EV-TSF) is established to provide assistance to Muscogee students to pay for debt that is preventing their effort to complete their education and students seeking a first-time Associates Degree.

GED Assistance

The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Employment and Training Department includes the General Educational Development Program (ETA-GED). This program provides assistance to anyone looking to further their education and career opportunities

The ETA-GED program supports participants with every aspect of the process including:

  • GED Class Referrals
  • GED Testing Fee Assistance (for the state testing fee)
  • Incentives upon passing the GED tests

ETA staff also provides GED students with resources to continue their education or secure employment following the program. For more information, contact the MCN ETA.

2025 Mvskoke Leadership Program (MLP)

The Mvskoke Leadership Program is committed to providing comprehensive resources designed to assist participants with professional experience, skill development and knowledge related to their field of study. Participants attend a series of leadership workshops and training sessions during the course of the program. Muscogee (Creek) Nation provides exposure to history, governance process and strategic initiatives. There are increased opportunities to meet with current leaders in small group settings strengthening communication interaction.

  • Enrolled Citizens of The Muscogee (Creek) Nation
  • Must be a college junior, senior, or graduate student during the Spring 2025 semester
  • Must have permanent residence within The Muscogee Nation Reservation

A variety of services to support the employment and educational goals of youth ages 16-21. These services are in addition to the other services provided by the Employment & Training Administration.

SPURS

Assistance up to $200 per semester towards fees for students enrolled concurrently at OSU-IT. Participants must meet income guidelines.

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)

Eight weeks of summer employment for youth, ages 16-21. Serving Muscogee Youth throughout the following counties: Creek, Hughes, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner.

Financial assistance for employment-related expenses when obtaining new employment after at least a 30-day break.

Tribal Grants and Incentives

Grants are available for enrolled Muscogee Nation Citizens attending accredited vocational institutions nationwide. An incentive-grant is also available for students based on academic performance.

High school students enrolled concurrently at public universities or technical schools in the state of Oklahoma are also eligible for grants and incentive-grants. Students living outside of the Muscogee Nation Reservation also may apply.

Work Experience Training Program

Part-time and full-time work experience for youth experiencing additional challenges of pregnancy, parenting, high school dropout, legal issues, disability, homelessness, foster care, etc.

Worksites Needed

The Muscogee Nation Employment & Training Administration seeks employment partners and work sites for the MCN Work Experience Training Program.

The primary goal is to provide hands-on experience and skill development for participants. By partnering with these sites, the program aims to facilitate the transition of trainees into full-time employees, ensuring a smooth and effective integration into the workforce. This initiative not only benefits the trainees but also helps employers find and retain skilled workers.
