Judicial Branch
The judicial branch of the Muscogee Nation includes the Supreme Court and the District Court.
Supreme Court
The Supreme Court consists of seven justices who serve six-year terms after nomination by the Principal Chief and confirmation by the National Council. The Court annually selects from its members a Chief Justice and Vice-Chief Justice. District Court
The Muscogee Nation is a tricameral government that includes the Judicial Branch. Within the Judicial Branch, is the Muscogee Nation District Court. The District Court predates Oklahoma statehood, and is located in the Tribe’s Mound Building at the headquarters in Okmulgee.
